INTERIOR DESIGNER

Job Summary

The Interior Designer will plan, design and furnish the internal space of rooms and buildings;

crate functional, safe and optimal furniture placement, and selective decorative items, all

while adhering to relevant blueprint, building code, and inspection requirements.

Duties and responsibility

- Work with clients to determine initial goals and requirements for space to be designed

- Develop concepts and design all aspects of a project and/or components of a projects

from the architectural interior design to the FFE

- Collaborates with engineers, painters, and builders to further understand how interior

space should function, appear, and be furnished

- Analyze movement and use patterns of space

- Think and design three-dimensionally with creative and conceptual skills

- Integrate graphic communications and brand messaging into the built environment

- Prepare sketches or other visual aids to demonstrate preliminary design to clients

- Present design concepts to the client and participate in client meetings through the life

of the project

- Uses design applications to prepare and illustrate final plans

- Consult with client to select materials, furnishings, and décor

- Determines timelines and project costs and presents accurate estimates to clients

- Orders or obtains necessary materials, adhering to projects and budget specifications

- Oversees the installation of materials, furniture, and other design elements

- Ensures client satisfaction by visiting the project on competition with the client;

resolves any complaints or concerns

- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in design, design execution, and sustainable

principles.

- Maintains current knowledge of trends and materials, techniques, and other

developments in interior design

- Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities

- Strong design portfolio

- Proficient in construction drawings documentation and oversight

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with attention

to detail and motivation to learn

- Ability to apply a sense of style to create aesthetically pleasing interiors

- Strong visual design skills including proportion and aesthetics

- Strong understanding of building codes, specifications, calculations, industry

standards, and inspection regulations related to interiors design specifications

- Ability to manage a wide range of projects simultaneously from concept through

competition

- Collaborative and professional work etic

- Ability to confidently and clearly communicate designs to clients

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Team player with strong interpersonal skills a must with passion for design required

- Ability to use computer-aided design software – Auto CAD and Microsoft Office

Suite is a must

- Spick and write Eastern European Languages is a must

Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required

- AutoCAD is a must, and other design software is highly preferred

- Knowledge of Eastern European Languages – Bulgarian, Czech, Russian, Serbian,

Croatian, Macedonian, is required

- 10+ experience as Architect / Interior Designer
